Growing up in Truman School's "back yard" on Washington Av made the school a constant in our lives. It was our playground. We always had enough kids to get a baseball game going and if the ball went into the outfield, it was a given "in the park home run" unless we had a great fielder out there. It took us 2 minutes to get home for lunch and 2 minutes to get back to school, and there was always someone to walk with and talk to. Always great memories of our years in the Hill.

I graduated from St John Evalangest in 1958. I now live in Arizona. I remember having crushes on the boys on St Anthony's basketball team. I grew up on Congress/Ward Sts. would love to commiserqte with anyone in my age group about the old neighborhood.
